No. Every product is plug-in or place-on — it clips over, plugs between or lays on top of what you already have, with no wiring. Any fixed outdoor supply, buried cable or consumer-unit work is a job for a qualified electrician to your local wiring standard.

No. A portable RCD adapter adds a layer of shock protection but reduces rather than removes the risk of electric shock. It does not replace fixed RCD protection or correct earthing. Press the test button before every use.

The IP rating tells you how much water protection a product offers, from light splashes up to heavier jets. Match the rating to the exposure — a splash flap is not the same as a sealed enclosure. Each product lists its rating and where it can be used.
